Missed pups, acrylic on canvas

This was my first experimentation with acrylic. The advantage is that it dries fast. The disadvatage is that it dries fast! I prefer oil for the quality, but prefer acrylic for speed and lack of terpenoid! I was enlisted to do this piece for a co-worker who's puppy went to doggie heaven. She was so suprised Christmas morning to be greeted by all three of her doggies! You bet this gift produced some tears!

Young pup, acrylic on canvas

I did this pet portrait for a family of a friend of mine. This is the younger version of the dog below. The former owner of this now deceased doggie cried on Christmas when it was opened.

Older dog, acrylic on canvas

I did this for a boy who knew this dog in his older years. I really enjoy doing these for people, especially as gifts because they are unique and sentimental.
